What is the scheme?

PM-JANMAN (Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan, or PM Tribal Justice Mission) is for the 75 most vulnerable tribal groups (PVTGs) living in 18 states and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It was launched on 15 November 2023, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, with a budget of Rs 24,104 crore. Nine ministries are bringing 11 services to these villages.

When will I get the house? Who can apply?

PVTG families get a pucca house (up to Rs 2.39 lakh provided per house), tap water, electricity or solar power, roads, mobile medical units, anganwadis, hostels and mobile towers. Once a house is approved, the money comes in instalments straight into the bank account. By 31 December 2025, over 4.73 lakh houses were approved and over 2.50 lakh were built. Village camps also help with Aadhaar, caste certificates, Jan Dhan accounts, Ayushman cards, PM-KISAN and Kisan Credit Cards.
