CGTMSE Scheme: Business Loans up to ₹10 Crore Without Any Collateral

What is the scheme?

CGTMSE (Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises) is run by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, and SIDBI. When a bank gives a loan to a small shopkeeper, artisan or small factory, CGTMSE guarantees that loan. So you do not need to pledge your house, land or anything else, and you do not need a third-party guarantor.

When will I get the loan? Who can apply?

Since 1 April 2025, loans up to ₹10 crore can get this guarantee (the old limit was ₹5 crore). CGTMSE covers 75% to 90% of the loan, and up to 90% for women entrepreneurs. New and existing micro and small enterprises in manufacturing, services and trade (shops) can benefit. Udyam Registration is mandatory. The bank decides when the loan is sanctioned after checking your documents and business plan.

How to check your status

1. Register free on udyamregistration.gov.in using your Aadhaar (Udyam Registration).
2. Apply for a business loan at your bank or regional rural bank branch and ask for “CGTMSE cover”.
3. When the loan is sanctioned, the bank takes the guarantee from CGTMSE. Ask the bank for your CGPAN (guarantee number).
4. Ask your bank branch for the application status. For information or complaints, use only the official website www.cgtmse.in or toll-free 1800222659.

For help with Udyam Registration, visit your nearest CSC centre. Documents: Aadhaar, PAN, Udyam certificate, bank passbook or statement, business address and a project report or quotation. Remember: CGTMSE does not give loans directly; the bank gives the loan. Beware of fake websites and agents.
